Welcome to Host Project Services (HPS)

In the heart of a growing city (South east Queensland), where construction cranes pierced the skyline and development projects were racing deadlines, a critical gap became impossible to ignore. Tight-access areas—small streets, basements, inner-city sites, high rises —remained some of the toughest terrain for machinery to reach, let alone operate efficiently. Too many jobs were delayed. Too many contractors were forced to juggle multiple suppliers just to get one job done.

That’s when our founders—experienced operators and project managers from the trenches of the construction industry—decided to do something different.

They launched Host Project Services with a single mission: to become the go-to, full-stop service provider for tight-access machinery hire—offering both wet and dry options—for large-scale construction projects across the region.

We understood what was missing: reliability, specialisation, and a company that got it. We didn’t just offer machines—we offered solutions. Whether it was a compact excavator navigating tight laneways or a skilled operator on a limited-access high-rise demolition site, we brought the gear and the know-how.

From day one, we invested in top-tier equipment, built relationships with elite operators, and developed logistics systems that could keep pace with the chaos of modern construction schedules. Our team knew that showing up late or under-prepared could throw an entire project off track, so we built a company based on responsiveness, precision, and real-world experience.

Today, we’re proud to say we’re not just another hire company. We’re a trusted partner to builders, developers, and civil contractors who need more than just machines—they need momentum.

This is where tight access meets total support. This is Host Project Services.

Destructive and non-destructive excavation methods

Destructive vs Non-Destructive Excavation — How We Help

🛠️ Destructive Excavation Support

Destructive excavation involves digging or breaking ground using traditional methods — like backhoes, mini-excavators, augers, or skid steers. It’s faster and ideal when underground services aren’t at risk.

How We Help:

  • Tight-access machinery: We provide compact, powerful equipment designed to work in constrained spaces without sacrificing performance.

  • Skilled operators: Our wet hire crew knows how to dig with accuracy and speed — especially where space is tight, or terrain is tricky. Alternatively, we can assist by providing equipment on a dry hire basis.

💧 Non-Destructive Excavation Support

Also known as dry vacuum excavation or hydro excavation, this method uses pressurized water and a vacuum to expose underground utilities safely — without damage.

How We Help:

  • Coordination with NDD providers: We work alongside NDD service providers to prep, support, and clean up excavation zones.

  • Tight-access pre-dig services: We provide machines and operators to clear the area or break surface layers before NDD begins.

  • Follow-up excavation: Once services are exposed, we can continue trenching or earthmoving without damaging infrastructure.

  • Safe zone excavation: We understand duty-of-care protocols around utilities and ensure our team works within all safety and compliance guidelines.

Height Access Equipment

We specialise in navigating the tricky spots. Whether it's a narrow laneway, an internal atrium, a low-clearance warehouse, or a tight backyard, our fleet includes compact and lightweight machines designed to fit through single doorways, work on fragile surfaces, and maneuver in confined spaces.

Equipment includes:

  • Compact Electric Scissor Lifts – low-noise, low-emission, and small footprint.

  • Vertical Mast Lifts – perfect for tight indoor spaces like shopping centers, offices, or factories.

  • Tracked Spider Lifts – ultra-narrow access with incredible outreach, ideal for uneven terrain, gardens, or interior fit-outs.

  • Portable Scaffold Towers – lightweight and modular, great for interior or low-clearance work.

Non-destructive testing and integrity confirmation

We specialise in delivering precise, reliable NDT across a wide range of materials, structures, and environments. Our certified technicians use advanced inspection techniques to detect internal flaws, fatigue, corrosion, or wear, while keeping your equipment fully operational.

Our NDT services include:

  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT): Thickness measurements, weld inspection, corrosion mapping

  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT): Surface/sub-surface crack detection on ferromagnetic materials

  • Dye Penetrant Testing (PT): Surface flaw detection on metals and non-porous materials

  • Radiographic Testing (RT): Weld quality verification using X-ray or gamma-ray sources

  • Eddy Current Testing (ET): Ideal for detecting cracks or coating thickness in conductive materials

  • Visual Inspection (VT): Experienced, certified inspectors using borescopes, drones, and high-definition imaging

🧱 Structural Integrity & Condition Monitoring

From pipelines to pressure vessels, gantries to bridges — we assess the real-world integrity of assets and structures under operational load. Whether it’s routine compliance or incident investigation, we provide detailed reports, recommendations, and action plans.

Specialised services:

  • Integrity assessments for critical infrastructure (industrial, mining, marine, transport, energy)

  • Remaining life analysis and failure prediction

  • Stress and fatigue assessments

  • Compliance audits aligned with Australian Standards (AS/NZS)
